And this year, 2021, we will Get through all the wisdom literature. That's right, we'll get through all of the wisdom literature. I had coffee. Oh, do you know what the wisdom literature is? We did it in coffee and devotions. Yeah, during coffee and devotions, that's right. But we'll do Job. Did we finish Job? Yep, we did Job and now we're in Psalms and then we'll do Proverbs and we'll do Ecclesiastes. Yeah. Yeah, so we'll get through all the wisdom literature. So why don't we go ahead?

We pray now that as we read that we would understand and that your Holy Spirit would apply these things to our hearts in Jesus's name. Amen. Okay, you guys ready? A psalm of David when he was in the wilderness of Judah. All right, so who wrote this psalm? David. Okay, you ready? Oh God, you are my God.
Early will I seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for you in the sanctuary to see your power and glory. Oh boy. Does he sound like he's like on a, on an island with lots of water and stuff? Nope. Oh, he thirsts for Him, right? He thirsts for God. You want to read verses 3-5, Deborah? Because your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you. What? Really? What's better than life? Yeah! What's better than life? God's lovingkindness. That's right, God's lovingkindness. Yeah, God's loving kindness. Actually, God's loving kindness is life. That's right. And God's with mine. Oh, I'm going to teach you a Hebrew word. You ready?
Chesed. Can you say chesed? Chesed. Yeah, chesed means grace, favor, or loving kindness. Whoa, that's like a micro. Okay, can you reverse it? your chesed is better than life. That's right. Thus I will praise you, you will I live. I will lift up my hands in your name. My soul shall be satisfied with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise you with joyful lips.
That's right. So where will we find satisfaction? Where can you find satisfaction? That's right. Satisfaction for your soul is in the Lord. What's in the bank? You're silly. Okay. When I remember you on my bed, I meditate on you in the night watches because you have been my help. Therefore, in the shadow of your wings, I will rejoice. My soul follows close behind you.
