Christ’s Origin from the Father
25 Now some of them from Jerusalem said, “Is this not He whom they seek to kill? 26 But look! He speaks boldly, and they say nothing to Him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is truly the Christ? 27 However, we know where this Man is from; but when the Christ comes, no one knows where He is from.”
28 Then Jesus cried out, as He taught in the temple, saying, “You both know Me, and you know where I am from; and I have not come of Myself, but He who sent Me is true, whom you do not know. 29 But I know Him, for I am from Him, and He sent Me.”
30 Therefore they sought to take Him; but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come. 31 And many of the people believed in Him, and said, “When the Christ comes, will He do more signs than these which this Man has done?”

hey hey welcome to coffee and devotions this wednesday morning this where every weekday morning at 9 00 a.m and on the weekends when i get a spare moment from these guys you and i we get together we get into god's word and we grow in our love for the lord together and this year 2020 we'll make it through all the gospels well this morning we're at john chapter 7 verses 25 through 31. you guys ready to have some coffee well you guys get tea let's have some coffee we'll pray and get into god's word all right let's pray father we thank you so much for this day and we thank you for your word we pray now that as we read your word that you would bless us and care for us that you would apply it to our hearts in jesus name amen okay john chapter seven beginning at verse 25 nath or yeah nathan can you read verses 25 26 and 27 okay now some of them from jerusalem said is this not he whoms they seek to kill but look he speaks boldly and they say nothing to him do the rules known this is truly the club we know where this man is from but the christ comes no one knows where he is from okay endeavor can you read 28-29 then jesus cried out as he taught in the temple saying you both know me and you and you know where i am from i have not come of myself but he who sent me is true whom you do not know but i know him for i am from him and he sent me therefore they sought to take him but no one laid a hand on him because howard i don't need it right now thank you because his hour had not yet come and many of the people believed in him and said when the christ comes he will do more signs than these which this man has done okay we need to ask ourselves a what is this about about b what is the best the best versus summarize good and see what are we called to do in response to this so hey what is this about what do you guys think what are they talking about here i think they're talking about uh okay they don't believe that jesus is the christ they don't think jesus has yet cut they don't think this is well they don't they don't they know that this is jesus but they don't know if the if he is the christ right and what are the things they say about him why don't they think he's the christ because he doesn't need to share right now okay let's do that later he didn't do enough miracles oh why else didn't they believe he was the christian oh look there's some in there why else didn't they believe he was the christ they knew where he was where he was from right but jesus says that jesus says that he didn't come from this world but where did he come from where did jesus come from from heaven right isn't that what john started the gospel with in the beginning god created the heavens and the earth right that's what genesis starts with but then in the book of john it says in the beginning was the word and it's jesus right so what do you think is the best verse i think in my bible ellie let's grab our pencil here oh do you want to answer okay in my bible i'm going to underline verse 28 and 29 what jesus says you both know me and you know where i am from and i have not come of myself but if he who sent me is true whom you do not know but i know him for i am from him and he sent me who do you think said jesus uh god god the father that's right god the father well the sea calling what are we called to do what do you think we should do in responses that's okay that's okay it's not marked right in your bible that's okay um yeah some bibles they mark jesus's words as read well we'll get more after we do coffee and devotion see calling what are we called to do do we believe that jesus has done enough miracles do we believe that he was from the father do we believe that it was jesus who was sent by god was from god has always been with god do we believe in our hearts and his lord do we believe jesus's testimony about himself let's go ahead and pray let's go ahead and pray you guys let's not worry about tea right now let's hold our hands in let's pray father we thank you so much for this day we thank you for jesus christ we pray that we would believe in him we pray father that you would care for us that we might have faith and that we might trust in jesus and in the one who sent him that they are one in jesus name amen well may god bless you today and may he fill your heart with joy and peace as you believe in jesus christ can you guys say bye
