Glory and Universality of the Messiah’s Reign
A Psalm Of Solomon.
1 Give the king Your judgments, O God,
And Your righteousness to the king’s Son.
2 He will judge Your people with righteousness,
And Your poor with justice.
3 The mountains will bring peace to the people,
And the little hills, by righteousness.
4 He will bring justice to the poor of the people;
He will save the children of the needy,
And will break in pieces the oppressor.
5 They shall fear You
As long as the sun and moon endure,
Throughout all generations.
6 He shall come down like rain upon the grass before mowing,
Like showers that water the earth.
7 In His days the righteous shall flourish,
And abundance of peace,
Until the moon is no more.
8 He shall have dominion also from sea to sea,
And from the River to the ends of the earth.
9 Those who dwell in the wilderness will bow before Him,
And His enemies will lick the dust.
10 The kings of Tarshish and of the isles
Will bring presents;
The kings of Sheba and Seba
Will offer gifts.
11 Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him;
All nations shall serve Him.
12 For He will deliver the needy when he cries,
The poor also, and him who has no helper.
13 He will spare the poor and needy,
And will save the souls of the needy.
14 He will redeem their life from oppression and violence;
And precious shall be their blood in His sight.
15 And He shall live;
And the gold of Sheba will be given to Him;
Prayer also will be made for Him continually,
And daily He shall be praised.
16 There will be an abundance of grain in the earth,
On the top of the mountains;
Its fruit shall wave like Lebanon;
And those of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
17 His name shall endure forever;
His name shall continue as long as the sun.
And men shall be blessed in Him;
All nations shall call Him blessed.
18 Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel,
Who only does wondrous things!
19 And blessed be His glorious name forever!
And let the whole earth be filled with His glory.

Okay, so try number two. I think it's going to work now. Good morning and welcome to Coffee and Devotions. This is where every day we get together, we get into God's Word, and we grow in our love for the Lord together. And this year, 2021, we'll make it through all of the wisdom literature. That's right. And so this morning we are at Psalm 72. Tried to go online in a few places, and Facebook's the only one that's up today. Oh, are you tired, Daniel? Okay, Psalm 72.
Why don't we go ahead and have some coffee, we'll pray, and we'll get into God's Word. You guys ready for your tea? You already had your tea. Oh, good. All right, let's go ahead and pray. Father, we thank you so much for this day, and we thank you for your Word. We pray now that as we read your word, that your Holy Spirit work in our hearts, that we would understand it and believe it. In Jesus' name, amen. Okay, you guys ready? Here we go, Nathan, you wanna come up here, Deborah? Ooh, this is a psalm, instead of a David, you ready? A psalm of Solomon. Who is Solomon? David's son. That's right, David's son, the wise king. All right, here we go.
Give the king your judgments, O God, and your righteousness to the king's son. He will judge your people with righteousness, and your poor with justice. The mountains will bring peace to the people, and the little hills by righteousness. He will bring justice to the poor of the people. He will save the children of the needy, and will break in pieces the oppressor.
They shall fear you as long as the sun and moon endure throughout all generations. He shall come down like rain upon the grass, boom, mowing like showers that water the earth. In his days the righteous shall flourish, and abundance of peace until the world is no more. He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth.

Is the gold of Sheba going to be brought to him? Are the nations going to serve him? Are people going to bless him? Who do you think this is talking about? Jesus, that's right. He's talking about King Jesus and his reign. Oh, do you guys see who's watching? Papa. Do you guys want to say good morning to Papa? Yeah, so God is going to send his Messiah and the King is going to have a beautiful reign. Right? God is going to redeem them from their life of oppression and violence. And it says that he will live forever. How wonderful is that, that our King is going to live forever? I can't see! You can't see?
Well, you can squeeze in closer. I think 18-20 would be a good verse. You think 18-20 would be good? That's a good one. Yeah, I would underline 18-20. Good. I underlined verse 11. Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him. All nations shall serve Him. That sounds like the song in the book of Psalms. Yeah, it does, right? Well, you guys ready to pray? All right, let's pray. Father, we thank you so much for this day. We thank you that we have a King who reigns forever. We thank you that our King Jesus loves us and cares for us. We pray that you would give us a good day today that we would walk In the light of Jesus' love, in Jesus' name we pray.
