John 1:14-18

hey hey welcome to coffee and devotions this wednesday morning this where every weekday morning at nine a.m and on the weekends when i get a spirit moment away from these guys you and i we get together we get into god's word and we grow in our love for the lord together and this year 2020 we'll make it through all the gospels well this morning we are at luke or sorry john chapter 1 verses 14 through 18. why don't we go ahead and have some coffee we'll pray and we'll get into god's word let's go ahead and have some coffee and pray guys oh you guys don't have coffee well you'll have to bring your tea next time okay oh your tea's in there well we'll have to get it for next time okay all right let's go ahead and pray father we thank you so much for this day and we thank you for your word we pray that as we read your word that you would let us know and believe in jesus christ it's in his name we pray amen okay you guys ready all right john chapter 1 and the word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory the glory as of the only begotten of the father full of grace and truth john bore witness to him and cried out saying this was he of whom i said he who comes after me is preferred before me for he was before me and of his fullness we have all received and grace from grace for the law was given through moses but grace and truth grace and truth came through jesus christ no one has seen god at any time the only begotten son who is in the bosom of the father he has declared him oh boy some big beautiful things there what do you guys think if you what would you say this this is talking about yes you think this is talking about us you i don't think it's talking about me what do you think it's talking about deborah jesus coming up into heaven i think it's the opposite i think it's jesus coming down from heaven yeah it said nobody ever has seen god but who did god send who did the father send to earth jesus he sent jesus and she yeah he jesus was sent and he was the word became flesh and dwelt among us [Music] god came and he and he dwelt among us and he was full of two things grace and truth what do you think grace means um grace is like let's stay i stole a cookie okay so you stole a cookie and everything and you found me out you found that okay i found you stole a cookie and i was gonna get spiked one but instead you gave me grace and you didn't spank oh so instead of spanking you for stealing i would withhold that punishment you want to know what that's called mercy no mercy isn't the same thing as grace you want to know a great oh here are you guys ready to hear what grace is grace is god giving you favor that you don't deserve yeah i see your turn all right well i think i think we need to ask ourselves what are we called to do in response to this ready do we believe in jesus christ do we believe in jesus christ do we know jesus christ do we love jesus christ do we know the grace and the truth of jesus christ let's pray father we thank you so much for this day oh everybody hold your hands let's pray let's pray father we thank you so much for this day we pray that we would believe in jesus christ we pray that you would bless us this day that we would walk in the grace and truth of jesus christ we thank you for sending your only begotten son the one who is eternal from the beginning and has come and is greater than john the baptist and gives us freedom and life forever in jesus name amen well may god bless you today and may he fill your day with joy and peace bye you guys wanna say bye
