Scripture Passage

Genesis 25:12-28

A — About

What Is This Passage About?

God fulfills his promise to make Ishmael a father of princes, then continues the covenant line through Isaac. He answers Isaac's prayer for barren Rebekah, gives her the twins Esau and Jacob, and declares before their birth that the older will serve the younger, showing that the promise continues according to God's purpose.

B — Best Verse

A Verse That Summarizes the Passage

Genesis 25:23

Distilled from the devotional exposition; the speaker did not explicitly name a best verse.

Neither Bryan nor his child co-host chooses a verse. Verse 23 best captures the passage's turning point: God identifies two nations in Rebekah's womb and promises that the older will serve the younger.

C — Called or Christ

C — Called to Do & Christ Connection

Trust the promise-keeping God rather than merely the promises themselves. His covenant line continues and his promise is fully kept in Jesus, so love him and walk in his ways.
