LEADERSHIP

Trail Life USA is a Christ-centered outdoor adventure, leadership, and character development ministry. Living the Trail Life is a journey for boys and young men established on timeless values derived from the Bible. Set in the context of outdoor adventure and working in patrols within Troops, each young Trailman is challenged to build character and a lifetime of practical leadership skills.

What’s the mission?

Our Mission is to build a Christ centered community of men to guide the next generations of courageous young men to honor God, lead with integrity, serve others, and experience outdoor adventure.

What is the troop about?

Troop IA-0623 is a ministry of Sharon RP Church.

We are:

  • Unashamedly Christ-Centered

  • Whole-heartedly committed to the Bible

  • Boy-Focused mentoring and discipleship journey that speaks to the heart of a boy.

  • Established on timeless values derived from the Bible and set in the context of outdoor adventure

  • For boys from Kindergarten through 12th grade

  • A Troop led by male mentors where boys are challenged to grow in character, understand their purpose, serve their community, and develop practical leadership skills to carry out the mission for which they were created.

What we are not

  • We are not a replacement for the local congregation.

  • We are not a replacement for the family.

  • We are not a baby sitting or free childcare center. Our desire is to see men, especially fathers, interact and train up the next generation of men.

 Why is this even needed?

  • In our culture, there is a desperate need for our boys to develop into Godly young men.

  • Boys will find a pack of other boys who will challenge them to become men of character and service.

  • We will teach boys to rise above the ME culture that pervades our culture and help them become servant hearted leaders.

  • We will seek to provide space and times where fathers can intentionally focus on their relationships with their sons.

  • We will seek to provide space and times where other men can also teach and train boys to walk worthy lives before God.

  • We will help boys to learn that their God-given energy is a gift from God, to use for His glory.
