Scripture Passage

The Tribes and Leaders by Armies

2 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying: 2 “Everyone of the children of Israel shall camp by his own standard, beside the emblems of his father’s house; they shall camp some distance from the tabernacle of meeting.

The New King James Version (Nashville: Thomas Nelson, 1982), Nu 2:1–2.

A — About

What Is This Passage About?

The Lord orders every Israelite to camp under the standard and emblem of his father's house at an appointed distance around the tabernacle, forming one ordered covenant community with God at its center.

B — Best Verse

A Verse That Summarizes the Passage

Numbers 2:2

Distilled from the devotional exposition; the speaker did not explicitly name a best verse.

Bryan does not explicitly name a best verse. Verse 2 contains the passage's central command: each Israelite camps by his tribal standard around the tabernacle.

C — Called or Christ

C — Called to Do

Remember that Christians do not follow God in isolation. Receive the surrounding covenant community as his gift, trust that he is in the midst of his people, and follow him throughout life.
