Well, good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Welcome to coffee and devotions. This is where every weekday morning we get together We have a little bit of coffee we get into God's Word and we grow in our love for the Lord together and this year 2024 Lord willing we'll make it through the books of Numbers Deuteronomy and you know the last one Hebrews Well, we have some coffee. We'll pray and we'll get into God's Word. Oh, she's gonna drink the coffee for me.
Okay Okay, that's enough. That's enough. That's enough. I won't tell you the coffee story again. You come home. You did drink the whole thing. All right. You ready to pray? Okay. Lord, we thank you so much for this day. Please help us as we read your word. Lord, we pray that we would love you and follow you in Jesus name. Amen. Okay. Let me get my Bible. Oh, no, no, no more coffee. Numbers chapter 15. Okay. You ready?

So, what's the Lord tell them to wear on their clothes? tassel a tassel and there's supposed to be a blue thread a blue thread in the tassel and he gave this to them so they would remember every time that they got dressed and when they were walking that they were God's royal people right so daddy wears something to remind me of something every single day did you know that nope it's not my shirt not my beard not my undershirt You want to know what it is every day that I wear that reminds me?
Oh, my collar is all messed up. That reminds me of something every day. What do you think I have that reminds me of something every day? Not my calluses. My wedding ring. What do you think? Why do you think I wear a wedding ring every day? Because mommy put it on you when you got married? That's right.
And so I remember my promises to mommy and mommy's promises to me. I, well, I don't know what that is, but hey, hey, look at me. We wear a wedding ring to remind us of the promises. Right. And I remember I love your mommy and your mommy loves me and that we've made promises for richer or poorer through sickness or in health. I promise her before God and a whole bunch of people that I would love her and cherish her no matter what. Until one of us dies. Well, we're not talking about those right now. Right. So that's the same reason why, just like daddy wears a wedding ring to remind me. I don't. Yeah. Why? Because I work with my hands sometimes. I do.
And and so the Israelites on the bottom of their of their clothes, they would wear tassels, remind them that God was their God. And they were married to him. I have a dress that has blue threads. Blue threads? Well, maybe every time you wear that dress, maybe you can remember that God loves you. I also have a blue dress. Two blue dresses. I pick green. Yeah, but that's why they wore tassels. Yeah.
Can we remember that God loves us? Yes, I do and you have brown eyes That's right, I'm the weird one like normal, okay, you ready pray God, we pray that you would help us to remember that you are our God. Please, Lord, let us follow you and love you all of our lives. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Well, may you love the Lord your God. May you love him in richer or in poorer, in sickness or in health. Till death do you part. And even after death, he's still going to love you for all eternity. No, no more coffee. You want to say goodbye? Bye.
