The Profane Fire of Nadab and Abihu
10 Then Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer and put fire in it, put incense on it, and offered profane fire before the Lord, which He had not commanded them. 2 So fire went out from the Lord and devoured them, and they died before the Lord. 3 And Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke, saying:
‘By those who come near Me
I must be regarded as holy;
And before all the people
I must be glorified.’ ”
So Aaron held his peace.
4 Then Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said to them, “Come near, carry your brethren from before the sanctuary out of the camp.” 5 So they went near and carried them by their tunics out of the camp, as Moses had said.
6 And Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and Ithamar, his sons, “Do not uncover your heads nor tear your clothes, lest you die, and wrath come upon all the people. But let your brethren, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which the Lord has kindled. 7 You shall not go out from the door of the tabernacle of meeting, lest you die, for the anointing oil of the Lord is upon you.” And they did according to the word of Moses.

well good morning good morning welcome to coffee and devotions this is where every day you and I we get together we get into God's word and we have some tea you have some tea or maybe some sparkly water I have coffee and we get into God's word and we grow well we grow in our love for the Lord together and this year 2023 will Lord willing make it from Genesis exus genesus Leviticus that's right Leviticus why don't we have something to drink we'll pray and we'll get into God's word Daniel has sparkly water that good all right let's pray Lord we thank you so much for this day we thank you for blessing us with time to be in your word and we pray that you would please teach us and help us in Jesus's name amen all right we have one of the scariest hardest stories in Leviticus to do okay is it about the plague of frogs no the plague of frogs is Exodus all right so do you know who Aaron was uhuh who was Aaron he was a priest the high priest that's right do you know what his did you know him he had Sons don't that do you know how many sons Aaron had three or two four I one off yeah so you got four boys and we're going to read about two of his boys they just became priests they're like brand new on the job ready then naab and Abu the sons of Aaron took his each took his sensor and put fire in it put incense on it and offered profane fire before the Lord which he had not commanded them what is profane fire profane means like like a bad fire not Holy Fire not like the fire that came down from heaven and consumed the sacrifices this is maybe it was the idol maybe it was just whatever they come up came up with in their brain but yeah had God commanded that no nope in chapter 89 you want to know something Moses had consecrated Aaron as God had commanded him and then in chapter n Aaron made his sacrifices guess how as God had commanded him mhm as God had commanded them as the Lord had commanded them as the Lord had commanded them as the Lord had commanded them as the Aaron I think takes it in his heart I couldn't imagine what would what happen if you and buba died uh do you think I'd be quiet or do you think I would weep and whale probably weep and whale but Aaron held his peace then Moses called mishel and elizaphan the sons of uziel the uncle of Aaron and said to them come near carry your brethren from before the sanctuary of the C of the camp so they went near and carried them by their tunics out of the camp as Moses had said so what do they need to what do they do tell them out yeah take their bodies out right and Moses said to Aaron and to Eleazar and ithamar his sons do not uncover your heads nor tear your clothes lest you die and wrath come upon all the people but let your brethren the whole house of Israel bewail the burning which the Lord has kindled that I bet the other Sons will battle M well Eleazar and ithamar are the other Sons what did that they don't get killed the same way good yeah you shall not go out from the door of the Tabernacle of meeting lest you die for the anointing oil of the Lord is upon you and they did according to the word of Moses so Moses tells them don't leave you're holy you've been anointed you can't leave if you believe what's what's the Lord going to do y did he just do it to their brothers and to Aaron's son yeah God just killed them do you think we should mess around with God's holiness what about is what about do you think God is a jealous God yes he says that in his Bible yeah he says it in his Bible right and so we we have to treat him as holy we got to be the type of people who listen to his word but do you think you listen to his word perfectly have you done things the Lord has told you not to do so hope do you have Jesus Christ on the that's right that's the only answer we have Jesus Christ died on the cross for us high five man perfect lazy high five yeah Jesus died on the cross for us we deserve the fire that naab and ab who got don't we but who took that fire for us Jesus Jesus pretty good news very good news you want to pray or you want me to pray I can okay let's pray father we thank you so much that even though we deserve the fires of hell and Punishment because of our transgressions you have not remembered our iniquities but you have given us Jesus Lord we pray that you would give us Hearts to love you and to do as you command because we regard you as holy Lord
