Judges 10:3-5

Well, good morning. Good morning. Good morning. Welcome to coffee and devotions. This morning, we're going to talk about Jair. Just three verses. Let's figure out who this guy is. You want to have some coffee? You going to have water? All right. We'll have some coffee. We'll pray and we'll get into God's word. Water. Yeah. Let's pray. God, we thank you so much for this day. Thank you for your word. Thank you for the joy of your salvation. God, we pray that your Holy Spirit would please teach us this morning. Help us to know who you are. Help us to walk in your ways in Jesus's name. Amen. All right, here we go. Judges, let me grab my Bible over here. Chapter 10, verses 3-5. After him arose Jer a Gileadite and is he judged Israel 22 years. Now he and no he had 30 sons who rode on 30 donkeys. They also had 30 towns which are called Havoth Jer to this day which are in the land of Gilead. and Jar died was buried in Cameron. So we got three questions. What do we need to ask ourselves? What's this about? And what is the new CR? What's the best verse to Sunrise? And see what are we all to do? All to do. And I'm going to die. You're not going to die. Okay. So, what was this about? See the bed. Well, there's a there's a judge that's that arises and his this is a seventh judge and his name is [Music] Do you remember? No. Ja. Nope. J J. J. Yeah. J. J. Yep. So, his name is J. And And do you remember how many uh sons he had? 22. 30. 30 sons. And you know what they wrote on? 30 donkeys. Wow. And do you remember how many towns they had? 30. Was it 30 towns? Was it 30 30? You think? 30 donkeys. And they also had 30 towns. You're right. 30 towns. And do you remember what the towns were called? Uh, no. How about Jer? Wait, that's only one town. They were all called the same thing. City of Jer. City of Jer. City of Jer or town of Jer. Yep. And they're all in the land of Gilead. That's like on the other side of the Jordan River. Yeah. Daddy, do you got one of the microphone? I do have one of those microphones. Yeah, but where the white thing? Well, I don't have one of those. And Jared died and was buried in Cammon. So, he judged Israel for 22 years. Have you been alive 22 years? has Nathan. Nope. Right. So, he was a judge for a long time, right? Only um six, seven. Yeah. But here, Jar is a judge for a long time. And this is all we know about him. He has all these boys. He has all these towns and he judges for a period of time. And then he dies. He's buried and then the son get buried and they die. Well, we don't know about his yet. Maybe they'll be maybe they'll be later. Daddy, how is he? Which one comes next? Which son comes sec next? Well, we'll have to read next time to see, but I don't think um there's a Gileadite who rises up next. His name is Jeepa, but it's a kind of a different story. So chef, that's kind of a sad story. Can we read it maybe some other time? Sound good? Okay. So best verse. Well, I think uh verse three in my Bible and then what are we called to do? Right. Hey, are you little? Are you little kind of? So do you think that you are insignificant to God? Do you think you're unimportant? Or does God know about you, care for you, and even use you? Sometimes. Yeah. Right. Good. Does God have plans for your life? Sometimes. I think all the time. Right. Yeah. God has big plans for your life. Sometimes you don't. Oh, yes. Yeah. He But not everybody get Not everybody gets big huge stories, right? Yeah. Like one time I beat B and he didn't even give me anything. He didn't give you anything to do. Well, that was that sounds like a good day to me. It'd be boring. You got sweaty and then you just sit down and never did anything. Yeah. But was God watching over you even then? No. Yeah. Yeah. There's no small people to God. He So Judah's not a small person. Not to God. He's very important to God. Yes. student is very cute. He has a very cute baby, isn't he? So, do you think Yeah, he is half you and half mommy after he says mommy because he got brown eyes, not blue eyes. Okay. Well, uh my whole point here is was God caring for the Israelites? Yes, he was caring for the Israelites. And did God use Jer? Yes. And even though there's not much known about him, was he important? Yes. Yes. Absolutely. Right. Every single one of God's sheep are important to him. Even the bad? Yeah. Even that stinky one that goes like the 99 will pay attention, but there's just that one that will go astray. He even goes and gets that one. Do we like h do we care for Satan? I don't think he cares for Satan. I think he keeps his eye on Satan, but he's not one of his children. What? Yeah, he's not. He No, he's a fallen angel. He's an adversary. A bad angel. A bad angel. Somebody who has pride and doesn't want to worship the Lord. Knows he's God, but hates him. Hey, you ready to pray? Let's pray. God, we thank you so much for knowing that you care for even the sparrows who fall from the trees. Lord, you watch over us, every one of us. And we pray, God, that we would trust you. We pray, Lord, that you would please help us to walk in your ways, Lord. We pray that we would, no matter how small or great, that we would do your will in Jesus's name. Amen. May God bless you.
