Scripture Passage
Faithful Abraham
8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; 10 for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
11 By faith Sarah herself also received strength to conceive seed, and she bore a child when she was past the age, because she judged Him faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore from one man, and him as good as dead, were born as many as the stars of the sky in multitude—innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore.

through 12 we're continuing on in the Hall of Faith so Dan Dan asked if he could have his baby brother in here with us today so we got the Dan Dan and the Judah man so let's have some coffee we'll pray and we'll talk about people who have shown us Faith right let's pray or have coffeee first and then pray Lord we thank you so much for this day we thank you for the opportunity to hear from your word God we pray that you would please help us help us Lord to hear to understand to grow Lord please give us Faith a faith that would endure forever in Jesus's name amen all right so we are at Hebrews chap 11 verses 8 through 12 we're going to talk this this is really fun this about Sarah and Abraham you ready by faith Abraham believed when he was called to go out to that place which she was received which she would receive as an inheritance and he went out not knowing where his where he was going so when Abraham was in ER of the calans God said hey get up and leave this place and did he know where he was going NOP nope no no clue and yet what did he do and yet he did it yeah why did he do it because he believed in God yeah that's right because he believed in God here I'm gonna move this closer so people I bet that just made a lot of noise online but that's okay all right so yeah he did it because he believed and then verse n by faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country dwelling in tense with Isaac and Jacob The Heirs of him who him of the same promise for he waited for the city which has no foundations whose Builder and maker is God so when he left ER of the calans and he went into the land of promise did he have the promised land so why did he pitch a tent there and and wait for a city because God said so yeah because God said so and he believed it that's right oh now interestingly here do you know what Abraham's wife's name was Sarah Yeah by faith Sarah herself also receives strength to conceive seed and she bore a child when she was past her age because she judged him faithful who had promised therefore from one man and from him as good as dead he was born as many as the star the stars of the sky in multitude innumerable as the sand which is by the seashore all right so Abraham was was like 100 years old and his wife Sarah she was like 93 she was they were old people but she trusted God who had said she was going to have a baby and guess what happened she had a baby she had a baby how could she possibly how could that have happened God's grace Yeah by God's grace but also because she had Faith she counted him faithful who made the promise and God did this and because of that right they they had one one boy Isaac but guess who came from Isaac Jacob and guess who came from Jacob 12 other sons and guess who came from those 12 kids a huge multitude right so much that even if it was like all the stars in the sky and like if you went to the seashore and and you tried to count all the little grains of sand could you ever do that maybe after like 10,000 years oh I don't think even after 10,000 years but the point is right God blessed them and why did God do this that well yeah just to bless them right but they had Faith did they trust God's promises yep could they see God's nope could they see God's promises Yep mm now promise his promises were in art yeah the promises were in their heart right it was the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not yet seen right they knew that it had to be true because God promised it and so it be true yeah and so they're they're examples to us of Faith Sarah and Abraham all right well in my Bible for best verse I have underlined verse 10 and verse 12 well let me ask you see calling what are you called to do how does this teach you about Jesus Christ or what does this show you about the Covenant to have faith yeah to have faith like Sarah and Abraham faith in who God faith in God that's right and does God still have promises for us yeah can we see them no so why do we believe him because we have it in our heart we have it in our hearts and if God made us a promise is he going to be a bad father and take back his promises no no no if we have faith right he's going to make it good all right let's go ahead and pray I think Judah has hungry on the land you think he has hungry he's being pretty good right now hey let's go ahead and pray father we thank you so much for the blessing it is to read your word God we pray that you would please give us Faith Lord give us a stronger Faith Lord we believe please help us even in our times of disbelief Lord we pray that you would please let us hope and cling to your promises thank you that we know in Christ all these things are yes and amen in his name we pray amen okay may God bless you and may you hope more and more in the Assurance of those things not yet seen and'll see you next time I think Judah wants to say goodbye bye
