2023 Devotions Recap

Well, good morning, good morning, good morning. Welcome to Coffee and Devotions. Letting you know this is take two, because last time there was no audio. So, we are at the end of 2023, and so what books did we make it from? Genesis, Exodus, and Leviticus. Nathan, what was your favorite part of Genesis? Thank you, Abraham. Abraham. Deborah, what was your favorite part of Genesis? Noah and the Ark. Noah and the Ark. Dandan, what about you? Noah and the Ark. Noah and the Ark. Elbow, what about you? Daniel and the Lion's Den. Daniel and the Lion's Den in Genesis. My favorite is the story of Joseph. Well, what about Exodus? What do you guys remember from Exodus? Elbow, do you remember anything from Exodus? Dad's not in Exodus. What about you, Dandan? What do you remember from Exodus?
The frogs. The plague of frogs. The plague of frogs. Debra, what do you remember about Exodus? Moses parting the Red Sea. Moses parting the Red Sea. What about you, Bubba? Um, the wandering in the wilderness. Okay, wandering in the wilderness. When Moses, wasn't it his stepdad? came over and was talking to him. Yeah, his father-in-law, right? When he was doing too much work and he needed to learn how to delegate. Yeah, and then that's also when he gave the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai and then all the laws with the stuff in the temple. Do you guys remember? Or the tabernacle? Remember when I showed you pictures of the tabernacle? Genesis, Exodus and Leviticus. All the stuff was made, but was it used yet? Nope. Nope. When did it start getting used?
You have to write down what you're supposed to use it for and how you're supposed to use it, what happens in the dishes, if it's clean or unclean, or holy, or if you're allowed to be a priest, if you're not allowed to be a priest. Yeah, so a lot of Leviticus was about the holiness code, right? And so, what was the tabernacle going to look like on a daily basis?
And then Aaron and his sons, remember Aaron and his sons being consecrated? Yeah. And then Aaron and, ooh, Aaron's two sons, Nadab and Abihu, what happens to them? They died. Yeah, they died. Well, they got consumed by the fire, right? The strange fire that they brought to the altar. So here's the question. We'll start youngest to oldest.
What do we want to do in 2024? Elbel, what would you like to read in 2024? Daniel and the Lion's Den. So you want the Book of Daniel? Dandan, what about you? What do you want to do? You want to do Daniel? Okay. Debra, what do you want to do? Just keep going. You just want to keep going? So maybe like numbers, deuteronomy, and judges maybe? Okay. Bubba, what do you want to do? I think the Minor Prophets or Revelation. The Minor Prophets or Revelation. Okay.
Well, the question is, what do you guys want to do? You can help us solve this. We need to hear from you in the next couple days, so feel free to write a comment, send us an email, send me a text, let us know what would you like to study in 2024. But, in the meantime, I pray that you spend some time reflecting this year on how good the Lord has been to you. that these many days through this year, God has been faithful, He's given us His Spirit, He's shown us Jesus, and He has loved us immensely.
